Automation studio · Self-hosted

Your back office, run by machinesthat don't clock out.

Deckard Labs builds precise, self-hosted operatives for the grind small firms drown in: invoicing, intake, follow-ups, eligibility checks, and month-end reconciliation. You keep the judgment. They keep the hours.

A Deckard operative: a machined desktop instrument with a warm amber lens that quietly processes back-office work.

The grind

Small firms don't drown in the work. They drown in the work around the work.

The revenue is fine. It's the back office that never ends: the retyping, the chasing, the checking, the matching. It's the part you can't hire your way out of, and the part software vendors leave for you to do by hand.

  • INTAKENew client details retyped from an email into three different systems, by hand.
  • FOLLOW-UPA hot lead goes cold because nobody replied for six hours.
  • BILLINGThe same invoice chased a third time, or a claim denied over a missing NPI.
  • VERIFYInsurance eligibility checked one patient at a time, on hold.
  • RECONCILEMonth-end spent matching a bank export against a spreadsheet at 11pm.

What they run

Five machines for the five jobs that eat the week.

An operative taking a hopper of messy invoices and outputting a neat, stamped, finished stack.

    AuditWe map the grind.

We sit with your real workflow, find the handful of jobs actually worth automating, and hand you a written before-and-after with the hours and dollars attached. Fixed fee, and it's yours to keep whether or not we go further.

    ≈ 1 week · fixed fee · no lock-in

  2. 02

    PilotOne operative, live.

We build the single highest-value automation on your real data and run it beside your team, not instead of it. You get a recorded demo of it working and a clear read on what it saved before you commit to more.

≈ 2 weeks · one workflow · runs in parallel

  3. 03

AutopilotIt runs. We keep it running.

Once an operative earns its keep, it takes the shift. We monitor it, adapt it when your process changes, and build the next one when you're ready. You own the outcome; we own the uptime.

Built for your trade

We start where the grind is already regulated.

The operatives are general. The workflows aren't. We build against the systems and rules your trade actually runs on.

The stack

Sovereign by default. Your data never tours a dozen vendors.

The operatives run on infrastructure we own and operate: our own cluster, our own GPUs. Your records stay on our metal instead of being copied through a stack of SaaS you've never audited. Where there's PHI, we work under a BAA with the controls to match.

We connect to what you already run. We don't ask you to replace it.

Who's behind it

A senior engineer and a room full of machines.

Deckard Labs is small on purpose. The same person who scopes your audit writes the code, runs the infrastructure, and answers the phone when something needs attention. The leverage comes from the operatives, not from headcount.

Straight answers

The questions buyers actually ask.

Where does my data actually run?

On infrastructure we own and operate: our own Kubernetes cluster and our own GPUs. Your records stay on our metal rather than being copied through a chain of third-party SaaS. Where protected health information is involved, we work under a BAA with access controls, logging, and retention to match.

What does it cost?

The audit is a fixed fee. A pilot is fixed-scope for one workflow. Ongoing operatives are a flat monthly rate per workflow we run and maintain. We put real numbers against your own process during the audit, before you commit to anything beyond it.

Do I have to replace my current software?

No. The operatives are built around the systems you already run: your practice management, CRM, billing, and phone. We connect to them; we don't ask you to rip anything out.

How is this different from a virtual assistant or a big consultancy?

A machine doesn't churn, sleep, or forget the process. Against a consultancy, we prove one automation works on your data in weeks instead of selling a year-long roadmap. You own the outcome either way.

You're one studio. What happens if you disappear?

Everything is built on standard, documented tools and self-hosted so you are never locked to us. If we ever parted ways, you would keep working systems and the documentation to run or hand them off.

Can AI legally do this in a regulated field?

The operatives are designed human-in-the-loop where the rules require it. In law, that means an automated intake never creates a conflict on its own; in healthcare, a person signs off where a person must. We build to the constraint, not around it.

Bring the job you most wish you never had to do again.

A working session, not a sales call. We look at one real workflow, tell you honestly whether an operative should run it, and put numbers on it. You leave with the map whether or not you hire us.
